Bioidentical hormone optimization for women and men in Sun Valley.

Hormone optimization is the work most patients come to BioPeak for, and it is where Christine sees the most impact. It starts from your labs, treats your hormones as one system, and adjusts as your body responds.

01 · The foundation

What bioidentical hormone therapy is

Bioidentical hormones share the same molecular structure as the hormones your body makes, so your body reads the same signal. The work starts from the longevity panel, which reads where your hormones sit.

For women

The plan can include estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, with thyroid managed alongside when needed.

For men

The plan can include testosterone, enclomiphene, and anastrozole, with thyroid managed alongside when needed.

Each is prescribed only when it is medically necessary.

Christine optimizes hormones as a system. The goal is the right balance among estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid, because balance is what the results depend on.

Much of what this work protects is what you value most: muscle and bone, cognition and mood, energy, libido, sleep, and the capacity to keep doing what you do. Hormones are also neuroprotective, and starting them at the right time protects the brain.

02 · Perimenopause and after

Hormone optimization for women

Some people accept what their forties deliver. Others decide it does not apply to them.

Christine treats many women with bioidentical hormone therapy through perimenopause and menopause, and she stands behind the science. What the work aims at is concrete: sleeping through the night, steady energy through the day, strength, body composition you recognize, libido, and clear thinking, held for years.

Testosterone is part of that system. It supports muscle and bone, mood and cognition, libido, and metabolic health, and it declines slowly from a woman's twenties onward. Optimizing it belongs to treating the whole picture, alongside estradiol, progesterone, and thyroid.

03 · Strength and drive

Testosterone optimization for men

Testosterone carries drive, muscle, recovery, and libido. When the number is low, most men want it handled, and quickly.

Treatment is built from your labs and monitored against them: testosterone, with enclomiphene and anastrozole when they are indicated, and thyroid managed alongside. You inject at home, supplies included, and your levels are rechecked so the dose holds where your body works best.

The honest part

"Hormone therapy can often get you 50% to your goal, and you come the other 50%: your sleep, your training, your food, your consistency. Give it a full twelve weeks before you judge it. Some people feel a change in the first week. I still want the full twelve."

04 · The method

How hormone therapy works at BioPeak

Christine prescribes hormones by injection, cream, or patch. Her first choice is injection, because it delivers the most systemic benefit and the dose can be adjusted as your labs change. Creams and patches are there for anyone who would rather not inject.

She does not use pellets: Once a pellet is placed under the skin the dose cannot be changed, so levels run high early and fade later.

This is ongoing work. Levels hold for as long as you keep replacing the hormones, so Christine rechecks labs every three to four months and adjusts.

The membership includes

  • Your monthly hormones
  • Weekly injection visits or check-ins
  • Monthly InBody scans with coaching
  • Lab reviews
  • Thyroid management

Quarterly lab draws are required to dose safely and are billed separately. Your membership is set with Christine at your consultation, once she has built your plan.

05 · Beginning

How to begin hormone optimization

Hormone therapy begins with the first appointment: the longevity panel, a body composition scan, and a breath analysis, then a consultation where Christine builds your plan. Treatment is dosed and monitored against your numbers, so the baseline comes first.

New patients join the waitlist. When a position opens, a $200 deposit holds your first appointment.

From a patient

My husband was a bit of a pessimist when I suggested he see her to get started on peptides and testosterone. He is now a huge advocate.

Hormone therapy questions, answered

For a patient who is indicated and has no contraindications, the therapy is safe and effective, and that is well supported in the research Christine follows. Much of the fear traces to a study published about twenty-five years ago that used synthetic medications. Some women in it developed breast cancer, and hormone therapy took the blame. Newer work has shown the harm traced to that specific synthetic medication, and in November 2025 the FDA removed the boxed warnings on estrogen-containing menopausal hormone therapy. Christine screens every patient for contraindications, including active breast or endometrial cancer and a history of blood clots or clotting disorders.
Women make and need testosterone too. It carries strength, mood, libido, and metabolism, and a woman's level drifts down gradually from her twenties on. Leaving it out would mean treating half the system.
You do not have to. The honest answer is that the benefits last for as long as you keep replacing the hormones. If you stop, your body returns to where it was before. Most patients choose to continue because of how they feel.
BioPeak uses compounded bioidentical hormones, which let Christine prescribe the exact molecular structure and dose your body needs. These are not covered by insurance, so care is cash pay, and a primary care provider will not prescribe them. You are welcome to keep your primary care provider informed, and Christine encourages it.
No. A pellet cannot be adjusted once it sits under the skin, and Christine wants your dose to move with your labs. She prescribes by injection, cream, or patch instead.
Some patients feel a change within the first week. Christine asks everyone to give it a full twelve weeks before deciding whether it is working. The body needs that long to show it.
Christine is licensed in Idaho and Utah, with patients in Utah served by telehealth. For a patient in another state, she can run the initial appointment, order labs, and guide lifestyle and supplement support, but she cannot prescribe medications to be shipped to a state where she is not licensed. She prefers to see hormone patients in person when she can. If you live elsewhere, inquire and we will tell you what is possible.
